„Während der Anhörung muss man sich nackt machen und nachher bist du allein“, sagt Pascal Onana. Er ist einer von vier Asylsuchenden, die ihre Anhörung vor dem Schweizer Staatssekretariat für Migration rekonstruieren. Gemeinsam mit Mitarbeitenden des Sekretariats geben sie zum ersten Mal Einblick ein Verfahren, das sonst hinter verschlossenen Türen stattfindet.
Dabei teilen sie ihre Fluchtgründe, darunter auch Transhass, nicht nur mit den Menschen im Raum: Lisa Gerig positioniert auch die Zuschauer*innen mit an den Tisch und eröffnet so die Frage nach dem eurozentrischen Blick auf die Erzählungen der Befragten aus dem globalen Süden und der Objektivität des Verfahrens an sich.

Plot: ‘During the hearing you have to get naked, and afterwards you’re alone,’ says Pascal Onana. He is one of four asylum seekers reconstructing their hearings before the Swiss State Secretariat for Mi-gration. Together with secretariat employees, they are giving insights into a process that otherwise takes place behind closed doors for the first time. The asylum seekers share their reasons for leav-ing their homelands, including transphobia – and not just with the people in the room. Lisa Gerig brings the audience to the table, thereby raising questions about the Eurocentric perspective on the stories of these interviewees from the Global South and the objectivity of the process itself.
