Vom 16. bis 22. Januar 2019 geht in Berlin die 13. Ausgabe des British Shorts Kurzfilmfestivals an den Start – mit unzähligen Screenings der besten aktuellen Kurzfilme aus Großbritannien und Irland sowie mit Retrospektiven, Konzerten, Parties, Talks, einem Filmworkshop und einer Ausstellung.
Wie immer ist jedes Genre vertreten: von Comedy, Drama, Animation, Thriller, Dokumentarfilm, Experimental, Musikvideo bin hin zu Horror. Außerdem ist eine Retrospektive über die Ursprünge des British Social Realism im Film der 1950er bis 60er Jahren im Programm, bei der thematisch überraschende Gemeinsamkeiten mit der aktuellen Situation im Brexit-Jahr deutlich werden.
Darüber hinaus garantiert das Drumherum mit Konzerten, einem kostenlosen Film-Workshop inklusive 48-Stunden-Film-Projekt, einem Open Screening, Talks mit Filmemacher*innen und einer Ausstellung eine intensive Festivalatmosphäre.
