The film focuses on Dmytro Dokunov, a cinematographer and serving soldier, and the physical and emotional effects of war.
Dmytro Dokunov, a Ukrainian nature-loving DOP and digital artist is enrolled in a combat unit to face the Russian invasion. With his mobile camera always on, Dmytro films his entire experience of becoming a warrior, while desperately trying to preserve his humanity.

The 7th Ukrainian Film Festival Berlin will take place 14 – 18 October 2026 under the theme “Emergency Spaces”.
The festival presents the latest contemporary films from Ukraine alongside curated thematic programmes and retrospectives.
