Ein Blick auf die Vielfalt des afghanischen Kurzfilm-Kinos – Kunst aus einem Gebiet, das von jahrzehntelangen Kriegen gezeichnet ist. Mit emotionaler Wucht und intimer Sensibilität werden akute Themen wie Frauenrechte, gesellschaftliche und politische Konflikte oder die Auswirkungen der gewalttätigen Gefechte verarbeitet.
Diese Werke eint, dass sie nicht nur die Herausforderungen der afghanischen Gesellschaft und ihrer Diaspora beleuchten, sondern zusätzlich einen Einblick in ihre Wünsche und Motivationen geben, aber auch in innere Widersprüche.
„From Afghanistan to Exile“ ist eine Kooperation mit dem Goethe-Institut im Exil.

A look at the diversity of Afghan short-film cinema – art from a region that has been brutalised by decades of war. With emotional force and intimate sensitivity, the films featured here tackle pressing issues such as women's rights and societal and political conflicts. These works are not only united in the way they illuminate the challenges present in Afghan society and its diaspora – in addition, together they provide insight into desires and motivations, as well as internal contradictions. "From Afghanistan to Exile" is a co-operation with the Goethe-Institut in Exile.
Das Festival ist vom 15. - 19. November 2023 zu Gast im ACUDkino. Über 400 Kurzfilm in über 50 Wettbewerbs- und Spezialprogrammen: Bunt, kontrovers, voller Spaß und nah an der Realität!
