Das Human Rights Film Festival Berlin (HRFFB) zeigt jährlich internationale Dokumentarfilme, die Menschenrechte und die Menschen, die sie verteidigen, in den Mittelpunkt stellen – weltweit und vor unserer Haustür.
Ziel des Festivals ist es, die Kraft des Storytellings zu nutzen, um Solidarität zu fördern, Realitäten sichtbar zu machen, die ansonsten viel zu oft unsichtbar bleiben, und Impulse für gesellschaftliche Veränderung zu setzen.

Mit den Formaten Films, Talks und Action schafft das Festival einen Ort, der über das reine Filmerlebnis hinausgeht: Es bringt internationale Filmschaffende, Aktivist*innen, Politiker*innen und das Publikum zusammen, stärkt den Austausch von Ideen und ermöglicht gesellschaftlichen Wandel. Das Festival wird jährlich von prominenten Personen wie Ai Weiwei, Nadia Murad, Filippo Grandi, Luisa Neubauer und Enissa Amani unterstützt.
Dieses Jahr findet das Filmfestival vom 10. – 18. April statt und ist vom 11. - 15.04.26 zu Gast im ACUDkino.
Plot: WHERE STORIES FIGHT BACK The Human Rights Film Festival Berlin (HRFFB) annually presents international documentary films that place human rights and the people who defend them at the centre – both worldwide and on our doorstep. The festival aims to draw on the power of storytelling to foster solidarity, shed light on realities that all too often remain invisible, and inspire societal change. Through its formats – Films, Talks and Action – the festival creates a space that goes beyond the cinematic experience: it brings together international filmmakers, activists, politicians, and audiences, fosters the exchange of ideas, and enables societal change. Each year, the festival is supported by prominent figures such as Ai Weiwei, Nadia Murad, Filippo Grandi, Luisa Neubauer, and Enissa Amani.
